A Collection of Cool Black Cat Stuff in Celebration of National Black Cat Day

black magic rescue screen prints by mad old cat lady

Today is National Black Cat Day, an annual event here in the UK, organised by Cats Protection to draw attention to the plight of black (and black and white) cats, who are the least popular colours of cat, and consequently spend far longer in rescue centres waiting for adoption than other more eye-catching felines.

In celebration of National Black Cat Day I’ve rounded up a collection of black cat goodies for your perusal……

  1. I already have a black cat, his name is Rowan, still a kitten and full of energy, I can’t imagine why anyone would pass him by in favour of the allegedly more eye-catching ones.

    • I agree. I was quite shocked when I found out that black/black & white cats are the least popular, and I think it’s a real shame that so many people prioritise fur colour over personality.
