It’s set to be a red-white-and-blue summer, what with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and the London 2012 Olympics; and so in honour of Her Madge’s 60 years on the throne, and in anticipation of Team GB’s massive hoard of Olympic Gold Medals, here’s the Cool For Cats UK Union Jack-themed June Giveaway Goodie Bag:
First up we have the splendid Union Jack Special cat safety collar, kindly supplied by Mog’s Togs. This collar is made from fabric designed by Rachel Jinks, and is sewn using sparkly silver thread. It’s accessorised with two collar charms (a crown and a ’2012′) and a Swarovski crystal bead – your cat will think this is blummin’ blingtastic! To find out more about Mog’s Togs, please click here…
Next we have a pack of 2 Jubilee Mice, kindly supplied by Molly’s Mice. These marvellous mice are made with two different Union Jack fabrics, and are filled with premium-strength Canadian catnip. If you’d like to find out more about Molly’s Mice, and see a video of Stuart the foster cat enjoying one of the catnip mice, please click here…
Finally, just in case you’re feeling a bit left out, here’s something for you: the Union Jack Zipper Pouch (made by my own fair hands). I’ve given this pouch a subtle Jubilee theme (so that you can carry on using it next year!), by ‘drawing’ a fifties-inspired cat and flower motif onto the linen/cotton blend fabric with my sewing machine.
The Union Jack is represented by the cat’s blue eyes, the blue zip, the white flowers and the cheeky red poly-cotton lining – geddit? The pouch measures 16 cm x 11cm and is lightly padded (making it suitable for small gadgets). All fabrics used are upcycled.
All you need to do to enter the June Giveaway is leave a comment below – easy peasy, lemon squeezy! Just to make things clear: the above items are being given away as a single prize, so one person will win all three goodies. The winner will be chosen by a random draw on 1st July, and notified by email (all email addresses will remain confidential). Sorry, but this giveaway is only open to addresses within the EU – because of restrictions regarding the import/export of catnip, not because I’m too mean to post the prize further afield! Best of British to you!
