These ultra-modern looking cat bowls are by US company, Felli Pet, but are available here in the UK from PetDreamHouse (who, incidentally, are on a mission to drag pet products into the 21st Century – check out their website, it’s well worth a look).
These super-swish bowls have been designed with cat ergonomics in mind: not only are the dishes raised for a more comfortable eating position, they also slope forward, which means that your cat can reach every last scrap of food easily. Have you noticed how most cats eat the food closest to them first, and then seem to find the food over on the far side of the bowl more difficult to get at? I used to have a cat who’d stop eating once he’d polished off the food at the front of his bowl, and then stare pleadingly at me until I turned his dish round 180° so that he could finish off the rest of his dinner! Oh, if only there had been such a thing as raised, sloped cat bowls back in the dim and distant 90′s – both our lives would’ve been so much easier.
The Oblik Lordly Puss (£26.00) is available in smoke, sapphire and ruby and has an outer casing made from high-quality plastic, with an anti-skid base, and a sloped stainless steel inner bowl. It measures 18cm in diameter and the front of the bowl is 7.5cm high.

The Oblik Supreme (£19.00) is made from high-quality plastic, and has a sloped bowl and an anti-skid base. It’s available in smoke, sapphire and ruby and has a diameter of 16.5cm with a front height of 5.9cm and a back height of 9.9cm.

Hi Kathy, just came across this article by chance. The material used for these bowls are BPA and phthalate-free. Also it does not contain, nor does any of its component contain any known source of lead, cadmium, natural latex, mercury or PVC. In fact, there are 51 toxic chemicals being excluded in the material sheet. Further product report will be disclosed when they are launching
.
Thanks, Wen – useful information. They’re gorgeous bowls – I’m glad someone’s stocking them in the UK!
not sure about these…they look rather deep? Would a cat like his head all the way in the bowl to eat? Or is the depth an illusion?
The plastic on the rim? Will that touch them? If it does…plastic causes allergies unless it is a different quality plastic.
Visually I think they are super interesting looking but I am not sure about the health aspect
As far as I can tell from the photos, the Lordly Puss has a very shallow bowl while the Supreme looks a bit deeper. I’ve checked on the Felli Pet website, and they describe the plastic used as ‘non-toxic’; so I guess it must be ok for most animals, but maybe wouldn’t be a good idea for pets with a known plastic allergy.
