This month three lucky Cool for Cats UK readers will win one of these lovely Meow Scarves, kindly supplied by Blue Raspberry. The 100% cotton scarves are generously-sized (180cm x 70cm), and feature an abstract cat design in fresh greens and cool blues on a neutral stone-coloured background.
Blue Raspberry kindly sent me a Meow Scarf to try out, and I love it. It’s made from beautifully soft, lightweight cotton, and the modern print is unmistakably cat but not at all mad-cat-lady – the purrfect spring/summer accessory for cat lovers!
Blue Raspberry are a new label who launched in London earlier this year. Their full range of ‘young, sassy and slightly irreverent’ scarves can be viewed here.
For a chance to win one of these cat-astic Meow scarves you need to do two easy-peasy things:
No. 1 easy-peasy thing – leave a comment at the end of this post.
No. 2 easy-peasy thing – head over to the Blue Raspberry Facebook Page and give it a ‘like’.
Now for some dull-but-necessary giveaway rules:

Only one entry per person, please! The three winners will be selected by a random electronic draw on 01/05/14 and notified by email. Each winner will receive one Blue Raspberry Meow Scarf. These beautiful black cats feature on a range of minimalist homeware and bags from Jin Designs, all of which is made in the UK. The company was started by Jinny Ursell, whose designs have a subtle, modern style aimed at people who appreciate the simple things in life. Jinny’s lovely Sleeping Cat is inspired by her childhood cat, Mittle. (I love it when designs are based on real cats!) I’m not sure about Sitting Cat‘s origins, but he/she is equally cute!

The lucky recipient of the WTF? Award must be offering for sale in the UK an item of cat-related paraphernalia so pointless and/or hideous that the average response to said item would be one of utter disbelief.
This month’s WTF? Award goes to the Heidi Cat Ears Headband With Veil, by Parisian milliners Maison Michel: a ‘style statement’ going for a mere £445.00. Yes, that’s right. Four. Hundred. And. Forty. Five. Pounds. And they don’t even look like blinkin’ cat ears.
Just think, while the nation’s minimum wage slaves queue at food banks in order to feed their families, and record numbers of cats, dogs and other animals are handed in to animal charities because their owners can’t afford to keep them anymore, some idiots are willing to spend the best part of five hundred quid on this crap. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, doesn’t it?
If life simply won’t be complete without a Heidi Cat Ears Headband With Veil to place upon your own fair head, you can snap one up here. But get a move on, as stock levels are low apparently – WTF? indeed.
Meet the lovely Ronnie and Frankie – two cheeky chappies guaranteed to brighten up your day. The colourful duo are rumoured to be the most mischievous moggies in town, and are pictured here just prior to their annual lads’ holiday.
Ronnie and Frank are available from YOKE – a young Scottish company who specialise in bold, bright design which aims to inject a bit of fun into life.
Ronnie and Frank Bag (top), £15.00. Measurements: 43cm x 45cm.
Ronnie and Frank Cushion (centre), £40.00. Measurements: 45cm x 45cm.
Ronnie and Frank Screen Print (bottom left), £60.00. Size: A2.
Here’s a handy cat-themed way to keep the screens on your smartphones, tablets, laptops etc. sparkling clean. Stickems screen cleaners are made from ultra-fine microfibres with a self-cling backing, so can be attached to the reverse of your device ready to wipe any annoying smears from your screen. The microfibres will remove dirt, oils, grease and make-up, leaving your screens squeaky clean, and the re-usable backing has been formulated not to leave a residue on your gadgets.
Stickems have more designs to choose from than you can shake a stick(em!) at (sorry about that – I’ve had a long day), but my favourite is the splendid folk art-inspired Cats Miaow by Alexandra Snowdon.
The Cats Miaow Large Stickem 30mm x 38mm (above) is available for £3.99, and The Cats Miaow Supersize Stickem 50mm x 90mm (top) will set you back £4.99.
